Nepal Hundi Missions(NHM):
Nepali motion pictures were made under local banner since the first movie came out in mid 20th century AD. However, until late 2010s all development, pre-production, post-production and distribution happened via Bollywood leaving just production to Nepal. This is the stage a movie is shot. Part of the production, imitating location shots was in Bollywood studios until the advent of green screen background. Majority of film departments then, for instance; song, fight, dance, makeup etc., involved persons from Bollywood to make up for the lack of film making talent in the nation. Payments for film services were(still are) arbitrary with no fixed amount and depend on how much money need transferred.
Over 90% of movies running in Nepali theaters were Hindi movies. Movie collections had to be hundeed off (Colloquial Nepenglish meaning local transfer at both locations—sender and receiver) at the only collection center in and around Hotel Annapurna until late last decade with a 5-10% commission of the transaction amount. The collection center and hotbed of Nepal Hundi Missions diversified after 2005 across the nation. Amounts now smaller and collection centers shifted to Kamaladi, Putalisadak and New Road1 area in the capital. This happened after Bollywood’s foreign reign was beginning to see a collective pushback helped by agencies starting to close in on South Asia’s movie production nexus and finance.
Around the same time, production house affiliates of Nepal shifted base from Mumbai moving further down south in Tamil Nadu/Telangana(Tollywood), India via intermediaries. That’s when invisible claws started loosening its grip on Bollywood spreading base to other parts to prohibit investigation agencies from pin pointing them to just one location. If you ever wondered why there are so many one time hit movies by some in Nepal (Kollywood) never again to be seen undertaking any creative pursuit, is just this—constant change of hands 2
Meanwhile, the A-dukhias now squeezed from perimeters outside Nepal had to abandon their nefarious ops chariot and find a new opening for their Nepal money laundering missions. Along comes the time tested film production pipeline with movie Teen Ghumti paying obeisance to quarters that helped Shiv Kumar and his neu group gain foothold in Nepal’s financial landscapes.
JSB Tower:
JSB tower in Kamaladi was Rakesh’s plan to introduce a flagship real estate project to be constructed usurping voided land post Palace Massacre during his helter-skelter KTM-HK-RJ-KR-TN days in 2010. This was happening amidst Krishi Premura HK debacle, provisioning for his Nepali econ minions a walled-street ambience then.
Money was diverted from Gorkha Development Bank and Agri Dev Bank liquidation. Additionally, pooling money from visiting investors under the garb of hydro-investing mentioned earlier. By this time, he already had made arrangements through NEPSE’s expensive stock movements to take control of institutions surrounding the proposed JSB Tower site to accelerate his sidekick’s career as Board of Directors of various companies. Again, the group’s name would not crop up anywhere linking them directly to these outlets. Public would instead hear several new names facing the law on behalf of the Adukias. He must have promised sacrificial lambs(Nepali: Bali-daan) the moon with assurances of better prospect in Nepal or abroad once the dust settles for them to go that far in tarnishing their names and reputation.
The group’s claw grips so tight that anyone who garnered enough natural strength, their families lives would start spiraling south—all dazed and confused on what struck them when Ganesha’s watching from the alleyways.
During investigation, we found a property adjoining the proposed JSB tower site left in a dilapidated condition owned by a disciple of *a** Saint in disguise (In Nepali: Sant) connecting Nepal-MH-RJ-UK. Her name was Shobha Grg Pokharel. Surprisingly, most disciples were from politics, business, law and GoN’s higher rank officials then who owned huge land parcel in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur area.
For this part of the series, we were hoping to focus on natural resource plundering ways and strong arming the Sons of Nepal Soil whose business is now global from opening up a satellite business in Nepal. We ended up limiting this part to just real estate strategy instead. The Saint in disguise, his partner in crime, will now be a preamble to the group’s plunder next when we conclude connecting West Nepal, UK(d!) and Bihar.

skimming over current Nepali movie ecosystem, other than independent production houses, NI noticed “final batch resettlement process” or “balance of payments” of over four decades being carried by Nepali guardians which we believe to be authentic! NI is happy about 100% financial outcomes finally reaped by the deserved indigenous Nepali. Oh, what a sight of Nepal gleefully making its way to the bank via creative discourse! ~? ! 🥰
Here's more excerpts:
_ NI's too lenient with property assets of this group. There were tons of property owned by this group across the valley at one point in time subsequently transferred to others in recent years.
